Brad Jinjoe is a lot of things—a Ford expert, an all-around nice and approachable guy, and Dealer Principal Skaha Ford, holding down the fort and leading the team with confidence!
Growing up, he wanted to be a police man and a businessman...and he’s accomplished both – spending time in law enforcement and now working for himself at one of the Okanagan’s largest dealerships.
Although he’s in his 27th year in the car business, his work experience began at just 14 years old as the “lot kid” at Kelowna Lincoln. He started his official career at Orchard Ford in Kelowna at just 19 years old. Brad became a GM at 28 years old when he followed a booming economy in Edmonton, Alberta to join the Hyundai team.
He then became part of the The Mike Priestner Auto Group (MPAG) for six years, travelling to various dealerships throughout Western Canada helping build the business model and increase sales. Next, he became Dealer Principal at Capital Dodge for 7 years and took the dealership from losing $2 million a year to earning $8 million in annual profits.
Brad then became partner at the Canada One Auto Group, a multi-location automobile dealership group, where Brad was in charge of 7 (out of 17) dealerships across Canada in the provinces of Alberta, British Columbia and Manitoba. With Brad’s help, the Canada One Auto Group dealerships collectively participated and supported over 100 charities and community organizations.
The next move was the biggest one of all, bringing Brad back to the Okanagan, back to his hometown roots, to work for himself – taking over as dealer principal and owner of Skaha Ford Penticton in 2019.
Brad has strong skills in negotiation, sales, customer satisfaction, sales operations, and customer retention and training. He is an online advertising specialist – often described as a “numbers nerd” and has even spent time training companies on digital marketing in the automotive industry. On top of his professional skills, Brad has his NHRS Drag Racing license as well as his Road Racing license. You’ll see him around Area 27 racetrack hosting corporate track days for his team and customers, or ripping up the track himself. Off the racetrack you’ll find him on the slopes at Big White during the winter, or on his boat on Okanagan lake with his family (he’s even been known to make the 1-hour commute via water!).
At home you will find Brad with his favourite drink, a traditional Old Fashioned, and his go-to Charcuterie board – often playing a game of crib, cooking, or watching any Navy Seals / Military films or shows. Brad has three incredible kids and has been married to his beautiful wife for over 24 years. They love to travel the world together, and if Brad could be anywhere right now, it would be Mexico, absorbing the hot weather, the culture and authentic Mexican cuisine.
Brad leans on CrossFit to keep him healthy and stress free. He drives over 2 hours a day, which for Brad, means time for self-growth and betterment. He recommends any podcasts from Tim Ferriss, Esther Purel and Tony Robbins.
If you were to ask Brad’s closest co-workers or clients, they would describe him as down to earth, fair, hardworking and honest. Would he give you the shirt off his back? Yes...and it would be a very stylish one at that. Aside from being known for his integrity, he’s known for his style – check out that hair!
Causes that Brad cares about include the BC Autism Foundation, the Okanagan Similkameen Neurological Society, local breakfast programs – anything to do with helping kids and families.
